MUD HUT POTTERY’S EVENT STUDIO

Private Clay Party

$600 for up to 8 guests. Each additional guest is $50 with a 20 person max. All private events are held in our event studio located behind Mud Hut Pottery’s Main Studio at 9950 Indiana Ave Unit 12. This option is great for all ages where each guest will make their very own sculptural piece by hand.

Create memories with Mud Hut!

This option is popular amongst previous guest because it utilizes our exclusive 1500 square foot event space. You and your guest can enjoy the space, as well as bring in outside food or beverages.

This option includes 2 ½  hours of studio time. The party host can bring food, cake, and drinks. 1 ½ hour of hand building with clay activity with an instructor and 1 hour for food/cake etc. We also offer a coffee cart at an additional cost of $7 per guest. This option only offers hand building with clay (not the Pottery wheel)

Each guest will make a ceramic item by hand. We have many projects to choose from. The event brochure in the link below shows the options. Have a particular theme in mind? Email us at Hello@mudhutpotterystudio.com to learn more. Application of clay paint or underglaze is included. Items will be fired, clear glaze applied, and returned in four to six weeks.

ALL INCLUSIVE

Paint Your Own Pottery Party 

This is an all inclusive booking that includes the private event space for 2 hours, pottery pieces to paint for up to 10 guests, paint and a staff member available for assistance. You can decorate the space, as well as bring in food or drink.

Paint Your Own Pottery is the most economical option. $400 for up to 10 guest includes pottery pieces chose on the day of the party. Each additional guest is $40- the studio can accommodate up to 30 guests.

Private Events and Team Building Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can book instantly at MudHutPotteryRiverside.as.me/Privateevents, or email hello@mudhutpotterystudio.com or call 951-594-5757 to plan it with us. There is no minimum headcount. Instead, each package has a base rate that reserves your date: Handbuilding with Clay is $600 for up to 8 guests plus $50 per additional guest, and Paint Your Own Pottery is $400 for up to 10 guests plus $40 per additional guest. Both include an instructor and our private 1,500 square foot event studio at 9950 Indiana Ave, Unit 12 in Riverside.

  • Yes. Mud Hut hosts team-building events in our private event studio for up to 30 guests, with hand-building or paint-your-own pottery options. Working with clay gets everyone off their laptops and creating side by side, which makes it one of the most memorable team-building activities in the Inland Empire. We can come to you or host your team in our private event studio. Email Hello@mudhutpotterystudio.com or visit our Corporate Events and Team Building page 

  • Yes, the party host is welcome to bring food, cake, and drinks to enjoy in our private event studio. Alcohol is welcome for guests 21 and over. We can also arrange our Clayfeine coffee cart to serve espresso drinks at your event for an additional cost.

  • Our private event studio hosts up to 30 guests for Paint Your Own Pottery. For Handbuilding with Clay, groups of up to 20 work best. Planning a handbuilding event for more than 20? Email hello@mudhutpotterystudio.com and we will make it work.

  • Your deposit is the package minimum, which reserves your date and covers your base guest count: $600 for up to 8 guests for Handbuilding with Clay, or $400 for up to 10 guests for Paint Your Own Pottery. Additional guests are $50 per person for handbuilding and $40 per person for Paint Your Own Pottery, and your final balance is due at least 24 hours before your party. Cancel at least 72 hours in advance for a full refund

  • It depends on the package you choose. With our Handbuilding with Clay package, your group picks one project for everyone to make. Adult groups can choose a mug, vase, pitcher, trinket dish, or pinch pot bowl. Kids and teens can choose pinch pot forms like bowls, animals, and monsters, an animal jar with a lid, or bobble heads. Every project is instructor-led, and guests sculpt their piece and then paint it with colorful glazes. With our Paint Your Own Pottery package, each guest picks their own premade piece to paint from a wide variety of options for both adults and kids.

  • Yes. Our Mobile Pottery Painting Parties bring the studio to you for $50 per person with a 15-person minimum. Mud Hut staff come to your location for 2 hours with premade pottery pieces, paint, and all the supplies your guests need to complete their creations. Email hello@mudhutpotterystudio.com to book a mobile party.

  • Yes. We host school field trips at our Riverside studio, or we can bring the pottery experience to your school anywhere in Southern California. Students get hands-on time with clay in a guided, age-appropriate project they can take home. Email hello@mudhutpotterystudio.com to check dates and plan your field trip.

Private Event Studio Rental Only

  • This rental option is for those who want to add a private party space onto class bookings or would like to book our space for a non-pottery private event.

  • For Pottery Wheel Private Events: Note this option allows only 10 in the pottery wheel class and up to 30 in the event space.

Want to book spots in our wheel class, but also have a special day to celebrate? You can book 90 minutes in our separate event space before our after your class. You can bring in food and drinks. This is an additional $200 studio rental fee in addition to the cost of the wheel class.

You must pay the $200 fee when booking to confirm time in the event space. Spots are limited and fill up quickly

Field Trips

We offer studio tours and classes for grades K-12
public, and private schools, homeschool students.  

  • We offer field trips on weekday mornings only.

  • $15 per student with a 20 student minimum. 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on groups size.

  • 50 student maximum per 2 hour session.

Price includes tour of studio,  ​and creating a pinch pot that will be glazed and fired.
